Episode 4 Making Sense of Rebranding, A strategic approach

In this episode we are getting into the hot topic of rebranding, drawing on her 20 years of experience in branding businesses Fi has a lot of great stuff to say about it. We cover where to start, the importance of having real clarity and why you need to take a strategic approach so you can rebrand with confidence.

We dig into exactly what you need to consider before a rebrand and the impact it can have on your business.

Fi tells us what you need to be looking at when choosing a designer and how to discern whether what comes back from your designer is right, and what to do when it's not.

We explore how to get best bang-for-your-buck, and how to approach things if you're rebranding incrementally, as well as some of the pitfalls and potential downsides of rebranding.

We talk about all the different elements that make up your brand and which ones have the biggest impact for different types of businesses.

We ask the question "one brand or many?" and offer a few pointers to help you decide the scope of your rebrand.

And of course we come back to what rebranding can do for the creative and commercial success of your business.

It's a really rich episode so we hope you find it useful.

Technical note: We've been working to make it more sustainable for us to record more regularly, so this episiode was recorded remotely with our new set up. We haven't quite worked out the sound yet in Fi's lovely and, as we've discovered 'bouncy' new office, so we hope you'll forgive the slight cathedral effect on her audio. We've found a solution for next time, but we thought the conversation was too good to try and re-record the whole thing.

We hope you enjoy the show, please do like and share if you do, your support is so appreciated.

If you have any questions or comments please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you. Thanks so much for listening.
